Solar Power International (SPI), Energy Storage International (ESI), and North America Smart Energy Week announced its partnership with The Cleanie Awards®, the only comprehensive awards program focused exclusively on the clean energy industry. The Cleanie Awards will unveil the 2019 recipients live at the Storage Central Theater on Tuesday, September 24 at 1:00 pm.
A growing number of energy resources and smart energy technologies like hydrogen, wind energy, geothermal, microgrids, and electric vehicle infrastructure are expanding their footprint at the largest energy event in North America. This provides a unique opportunity to recognize the innovation and leadership of companies, organizations, and individuals across the renewable industry.
“The Cleanie Awards honors companies and individuals at the forefront of innovation for the clean technology and renewables industries,” said Elyssa Rae, program director, The Cleanie Awards. “Partnering with SPI, ESI, and North America Smart Energy Week, we have the power to amplify the positive impact of the industries at the largest energy event in North America, and we look forward to recognizing them live at SPI in front of an audience of peers.”
Launched in 2018, The Cleanie Awards recognizes trendsetting companies and individuals shaping the cleantech and renewable energy industries. The program spans 12 categories, including Companies of the Year, Non-Profits of the Year, Project of the Year, and Rising Star Under 40. Companies with a U.S. presence, startups, advocates, investors, and entrepreneurs are currently being considered by a six-judge panel from companies including Google, Edison Energy, and ScottMadden.
The 2018 class of winners included 38 North Solutions, Carbon Capture Coalition, CleanCapital, CohnReznick Capital, GE Renewable Energy, Greensmith Energy, Low Impact Hydropower Institute, NEXTracker, Renewable Energy Systems, and SolarEdge Technologies.
This year, SPI was recently honored for the ninth-consecutive year in a row at the Trade Show Executive’s Gold 100 Awards & Summit. It’s the largest energy event in North America and has been one of the 25 fastest growing trade shows for four years in a row.
Registration for SPI, ESI, and North America Smart Energy Week 2019, September 23-26 in Salt Lake City, Utah is now open. The event is powered by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA). For more information, please visit www.smartenergyweek.com.
